Four words

1.)Open minded: whenever a new topic or scenario comes into play i like to be able to see it from all angles and views.
2.)Realistic: Seeing things for how they are and understanding what they are supposed to mean
3.) Curious: Being curious and open minded almost work off of each other because while still open to any other ideas or viewpoints from open mindedness, curiosity drives me to find out and know for myself.
4.) Loyal: I've always tried to be as loyal as possible either in my normal life or as a writer. Being loyal to a subject or to a viewpoint on an argumentative essay

my hope for this class is to have all four of these words make up my writing style by the end of the semester. Being open minded gives the capacity to consider another option which will be very helpful for most papers. Being realistic is helpful for peer reviews, it makes you able to tell your peer about what changes should be done to their paper, if any. Curiosity is going to help me out a lot in this class because if i come across a subject i'm not familiar with i'll want to figure out as much about it as  i could. Loyalty will come in handy for remembering to stick to one central theme on a paper and not t stray from it. hopefully with all of these traits combined i will improve as a writer.

  1. This is great, James! Thanks for sharing! I love the connections you make between these characteristics and how they'll influence you in this course in particular! It makes me look forward to reading even more of your writing, because I really can see how these characteristics could power your ideas throughout the semester! The only other thing I would challenge you to do is to try to be even more specific in the examples you provide for each of these characteristics--you give general, philosophical examples, but I want to know what this looks like in "real-time" as well. When was a time when you were open-minded, realistic, curious, loyal etc! Thanks for sharing a snapshot of who you are and what makes you tick! I look forward to reading more!
